I'm putting an XM commander in this car and a great place for the antenna would be under the rear wing. It seems like it's plastic, does anyone know whether it will receive thru the wing?

I highly doubt it.

I don't think it would be an issue if it is a plastic spoiler.  I've put GPS antennas under plastic panels before, with no problems.  With all the terrestrial repeaters, too, it shouldn't really matter.  Try it there temporarily and let us know for sure.  I've thought of doing this before, but have never had the opportunity.

Ended up putting it on the front most part of the dash. With the sharply raked windshield it picks up great.

a little tip on XM....if you call xm and tell them that you are switching to siruis to get Howard Stern, and want to cancel your xm....they will try to keep you as a customer......in most cases they will offer 6-8mo. at 3$ per mo.   great savings

personaly, i think xm has a huge problem, all the cancelations, sirius is now out selling them 3 to 1 and sirius has a converter to convert any gm vehicle equiped with factory xm over to sirius. and now offering 3$ a mo. to keep the subs they have.

SIRIUS is going to be the way to go in the future.
