Subject: What JL speakers for 300/4 amp?

I went to a local stero shop and I was asking about JL Audio interior speakers and accessories.  I have a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo and am looking for all JL interiors.  They told me about the 300/4 amp with all JL speakers, and said it is set up for 150 watts to each of the front speakers, and 75 watts to each of the rear speakers.  At the shop, it is really expensive so I am looking to purchace online, and I was wondering what speakers would I need for the fronts (5.25in) and what speakers for the rear (6x9in) , all being the newest JL of course.  Also, the fronts (5.25in) had seperate tweeters from the rest of the speaker.  Thanks for the help!

XR's for the fronts and TR's for the rear.  Don't spend a bunch in the rear since they're really only for fill.  Put that money towards the front speakers.  AUTHORIZED JL dealers can't sell on the internet, whatever you may buy off the net probably won't have a warranty.

This JL dealer must be a knuckle head. The JL 300/4 is rated at 75 watts RMS X 4. Listen to XRs and VRs for the front they sound totally differant. For the rears TRs or VRs, again they sound totally differant. Get the ones you like the sound of. Ctoh is right , if you by JL product on line it's NOT from an authorized dealer. Without the original receipt with YOUR name on it, JL will not service the amp in or out of warranty.

I would also think that most GM vehicles also can take a oversize 6.5" driver in the door. Are you sure about the size of the woofer in there?
