I looked at these things and I agree they look pretty cool. However I heard the expected price point on them is 1199.99

I always feel bad for you guys up north when it comes to equipment pricing. In the US the1.1000 retails for $850 with a MAP of $799. The 4.150 retails at $750 with a MAP of $699. I don't see them dipping below MAP until supplies catch up with demand. I already have a double digit waiting list. Hey Ravendarat I'll sell you amps if you sell me perscription drugs. lol

The price I had was just from a local dealer that said thats what his rep told him so to say that it was set in stone is a far strech, I mean it was third hand knowledge ;)

Bob, you gonna be selling these things? I might be making a trip your direction soon! Put my name on the list too! (close to the top (wink, wink)) I'd probaly sell my entire Eclipse stack for 8 channels THAT small! I'd buy from George, but I don't think he still sells Alpine. He seems to think RF is better... better MARKUP, that is! LOL (RF sux... Blech!)

Let's hear from the guys who saw these things at CES... What are your feelings on them, fellas? Fidelity, in any way, shape, or form?

Of course I'll be selling these. Have never seen anything like them hard to tell about how they sound at the show with all the noise around the display. Steve Brown used (8) 1.1000s and (2) 4.150s in Alpine's show car. I got a chance to talk with him over a beer and he says they sound great and are the easiest to work with because of size and lack of heat disapation needed. Dave, you have just leapfrogged to the top of my waiting list I'll PM you when they get in stock, Bob

I sell what I believe is the best value for performance and cost. If I give you my opinion on equipment you can be sure it's what I REALLY think.

hey guys,

I just threw a pdx 1000.1 in my trunk tonight after we were closed.......It was going to replace my jl 1000/1.  I'll be messing with it for a few days before i give it back but on the first few songs i was dissapointed....It really couldn't compete on the power end.  The bass was fairly distortion free, but i couldnt get it to really hit without cranking the gain waaay too high (the amp shutdown after about thirty seconds with the gain a quarter inch above the nom mark-again i was trying to squeeze some power out of it).  The size is sweet though...Lots of underseat installs for these puny things.    neways Im feeling a little dissapointed after the first hour of listening.

It took my weeks before I could get the hang of adjusting Alpines digital amps. Call Alpine's tech support and see if they have some ideas. I'll post when I install my first few.

Oh, and BTW? Those are simply BEAUTIFUL amplifiers! I hope they sound as good as they look!

tcss, let me know what I'd be looking at, pricewise, for (2) 1kW monoblocks, (1) 2 channel, and (1) 4 channel! If the reviews are glowing enough, I think I'm really interested! PM me!

hey guys have ya'll seen the new sinsister 6 ride that steve did and the new guy it looks sick its a bmw 645i on that new line even at the ces if that was the only one playing of coarse it would sound good in that car cause of the "perfect" speaker placement they do them in but in a real world car would be different as snottdobbs said but from what i heard alpine f1 status line is only really good if everything in the car in f1 cause their all made for each other to go with each other u know

I was just looking around to see if they were out again and i came back accross this topic coming back on the rise........but i would like to hear more input and snotdobbs take tcss advice and call tech support see if you can't get that thing to work right.

I would like to get more input on these amps before i buy four of them

there are only four controls on the amp.  These amps arent designed to compete they're designed for sales numbers.

hey i hope you don't mean me....say not made to compete.....i am not trying to do that lol....i want two 1000.1 and one 300 and 200....not 4 1000.1

i dont know what your talking about

whats a 300 and a 200?  a 150.2 a 150.4? madness i say.....bah, these amps will be great for those wishing to indulge themselves in some sq (myself included) my point was that alpine is giving us these amps comparing them to the jl 1000/1.  But the 1000.1 i put in my trunk does not hit like my 1000/1 does.  same power at 2 or 4 ohms super, but they dont have the raw power to slam some speakers.  I will say that the mrd-m1001 hits  with the same force the pdx amp does.  I dont know, our alpine rep is constantly trying to convert me, but my jl stuff has been super reliable and just seems to be more flexible in terms of application.  Yes the SIZE to POWER ratio is AWESOME with these new amps!  But that wont be enough to make me keep the pdx amp in my trunk.  sorry

I THINK I've dissected the relevant part out of that run-on sentence- but no, the F#1 stuff does not have to be used exclusively with other F#1 stuff. You can, if need be, use parts in conjunction with other sufficiently high-quality gear and get great results. I tuned a Grand Prix GTP that used a 'D900 head unit, 'H900 process, McIntosh amps and SPX-Z18T speakers (plus 'D1001 sub amps on Type X 12's...) and it sounded extremely nice.
I have also tuned an M3 that used the same head and processor combo with Mac MCC602's (niiice amp) originally on Utopia 2ways (as the F#1 speakers didn't exist yet) and later on the F#1's when they came out. Again, very very clean.

What an extremly profound and well thought out statement. posted_image If your gonna post a comment make it usefull and list reasons for your statement. I can say that anything sucks but with out reasons to back it up its a moot point. Try to remember that in the future.
