:errr:   i have a kenwood kac7202 { 150 x 2 rms  4ohm,  230 x 2 rms  2ohm ,  460 x 1 4ohm bridged } tri-mode capable

      i also have a polk db6500 component set { 100W rms }  , and a mtx  thunder6000 (10in) 250rms

i tried to tri-mode this amp but i dont know how to get the parts(inductor ,capacitors). so i went ahead and just connected it without em. the components sound the  same(components came with their own passive crossovers) as if the sub wasnt connected, the sub on the other hand is dissapointing me .  im looking to get something that will sound good with this amp ( im looking for a good sub with low enclosure volume)

the kenwood manual states that  ""The capacitor rating should be as close as possible to 331.25 (ěF) and the coil rating should be as close as possible to 5.3 (mH).""

i would like some info if possible on tri-mode operation, what is the true rms for the SUB , WHERE CAN I BUY THE CAPACITORS AND INDUCTORS NEEDED (online)

the kac7202 is a great amp for sub woofers and i have never noticed if it claims to be tri-mode. the only kenwood i have ever tried using the tri-mode feature on was the older kac749s or something like that. i want to say that it had a selectable tri-mode setting via an infrasonic switch. never the less i wasn't impressed with the results and haven't used that setting or even tried it again since then and that was 4 or 5 years ago. if you want to have an amp on your highs and mids and use the 7202 on your subs get the kac8404 (which is a 2005 model) and you should be able to find this amp discounted because it will be replaced with the 06 model soon. i would try good ol' BEST BUY posted_image.
