Are Earthquake amps still good amps.  I ran accross a PHD2000W on sale for 229 new.  It is rated at 500 @ 4 ohms and 1000 @ 2 ohms all numbers are RMS.  I remember back in the days these amps were brutal.  Does that theory still hold good today?

DO NOT starve this thing of power....you'll cook it. They rock fairly well......NOT like the Earthquake of past times though... 229.00 is a steal. This thing retails for 598.00

A few months ago i ran int oa deal from a friend that had an old Earthquake am that something was wrong with. I called Earthquake to speak with their tech dept. He told me that if it was an older Earthquake amp that it is definately worth fixing. If it were a new one they are not as good as the old ones at all.

But that still doesnt mean its not a good amp. I never did buy it from him so I dont know, just going by what tech from there told me. Good luck
