wiring up niche audio subs

i have 4 niche audio 12 inch sub's and they are 4 ohm's and dual voice coil and i have two performance teknque icbm-779 amps here the info i got from there web site about these amp's they say it will push 1200 watt's i would like to know the best way to run 2 subs off one amp and get the most power off this amp and the sub handle 600 watts thank u leo     MAX OUTPUT POWER : 600Wx2CH @ 2 OHM

You didn't specify if the subs were 4 ohms per coil, but I will assume this.  I am also assuming based on those specs that the amplifier is not stable at 2 ohms bridged.  Unfortunately the most you can get to your subs is 120 watts per voice coil, or 240 watts per sub.  You will want to either series the voice coils on each sub, then parallel the subs, or parallel the voice coils on each sub and then series the subs together.  Either way you will end up with a 4 ohm load for each of your amplifiers and you just want to wire them up bridged.  Good luck!

is there any way at all to make amps see 2 ohms with these subs ? i need to get more power out of the two amp i call performance teknque and they said that the amps will be stable at 2 ohms with no problme at all but im sure most shop will tell u want to hear if anyone can help it would be so greatfull thank u leo

A couple of items.  First of all, your amplifiers are 2-ohm STEREO stable, which means you need to place no less than 4-ohms net load if you bridge them.  Wire each set of your sub sets like this:

Secondly, Performance Technique is a very low-end brand and you cannot trust any specs they give you.  There is no way those amps will ever come close to producing 1200 watts, sorry.  Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they may come close to 400 watts when bridged into 4 ohms as above.  This means each of your woofers will see 200 watts.

As it turns out, since your woofers are rated for 300 watts, this will work out pretty well for you.  Just be very careful  to set the gains properly so the amps are not clipping and this setup should function fine.

thank u so there is now way to get it down to 2 ohm's stero stable ? so i can see some extra wattage? and that's the only way to wire it up.. right now i have wire jumped from + to - on all four sub's then on the other side i have + and - going to the amp so i have a total of 4 wire going to the amp 2 + 2 - in briged mode what is the amp seeing that way if u understand what im saying   again thank u for your info and everyone else thank 2 everyone   leo

sorry can u explain what 2 ohm stero is ? and would bad to wire it up as a single voice coil would that make it see some extra power ? if wred up that way thank u leo

2-ohm stereo means the amp can only handle a minimum of 2-ohms per channel (2 channels = stereo.)  This means when bridged it requires at least 4-ohms (2-ohms per channel.)  There is no way to "get more" out of your setup and like I said, it is pretty much optimal to use it as I described.  Your only other option is to replace it with different gear.   Also, if you use only one VC per woofer, you must also cut the power rating in half and give the woofer no more than 150 watts.

what about the way i have it set up rght now with the + to   + on 2 woofers and the - to - and it briged what r they seeing wattage now this why sorry to ask so many question thank u leo and have the wire running from + to - to make it dual thank u
