Yesterday I pulled my Monsoon 6 disk in-dash changer out of the dash on my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe and noticed an outlet with nothing plugged into it. I have searched this forum and visited several stores (on-line and off) but no one seems to be making aux inputs for the Hyundai. I'm wondering if there is a way to hardwire something to this stereo and if the blank outlet can be used. My goal is to connect my iPod to the stereo. FM transmitters suck and before I spend $$ on a modulator I thought I'd check here. Thanks.
I didn't think to count the exposed pins on the back of the radio when I had it out. My best recollections tells me that it was only about 6 pins. I plan to pull the radio again this weekend. What would this be used for? Doesn't make sense to have a jack for an external cd changer when the radio has one built in.
sat radio? SWC? tough to say... next time you pull it out write down the model #/part #..... also who makes it (matsudoodiea, Delphi, etc)
why the hell every time i type Matsus*ita does it change it to the above gibberish???

I did manage to write down all of the numbers for the radio when I had it out. Some are labeled (i.e SN:) while others are not. I just wrote down everything and here's what I have.

I think it's so Jeff, Dave, and a few others can laugh at us (wise guys). They just replace the s-word with doodie. It is kinda funny.
