ive had a system in a civic for two years recently when starting the car the speedometer, engine heat meter, and the fuel meter would start juming up and down for a few seconds and make a clicking noise does anyone know what i am talking about and if so what does this mean ?

Sounds like a bad electrical short somewhere.  I suggest you need to check EVERY wire in your stereo and make sure nothing is loose or might be shorting to ground, especialy all power wires, and if it all looks good get the car to a mechanic immediately before it burns to the ground with you in it.

Dyohn how would the car catch fire with me in it and has this happend before ?

if there is a short, that means that the power wire is directly grounded with no resistance in between. This will cause the wire to get red hot and could incinerate anything it touches. it can get upwards of a few thousand degrees!!
