phoenix gold 600.1

what sould be an ideal speaker set up for this amp in a 2000 chevy suburban  im looking for either a 1 or 2 speaker set up.  i want to use all of the amp and speaker will alow    im looking at the jbl w12gti    /     jl 126v2   /   earth quake magma12  or subzero  /   i have read someone has infinity kappa perfect 12.1d run off of the same amp

Run a couple of Infinity Perfect 12.1's in it.

you think that they will hold the power the birth certificate of the amp is 872W.  running one jbl w12gti  (sens @91 db 700W rms 4000W peak) or one jl12w7 (sens 86.2 db 750W rms peak unknown) would be able to handle the power better.     i did read kirktcashalini  home page and it sounded sick     i just dont think with the extra air space it will berath properly

check my site, i hate 2 infinity kappas, and a x600.1 ran at 4 ohms. THING POUNDS, amp is amazing, and quality is RIGHT ON. also its in a suv... so i almost gaurantee youll like it. lot of tuning options with that amp.

Also, that amp puts out, ~600w RMS to the subs. The Perfects are 350 RMS. So each sub will get ~300w rms. That's almost a perfect match.

it is a perfect match. i LOVE IT. way more than my old vented Rockford setup which pounded and cost wayyyy more. this sealed pounds just as hard when i want it to, but when i dont it sounds amazing. I highly recommend the LPL44 control so you can adjust bass up front

the box looks sick   are thy the dvc and how many ohms are they?   could you give me some specifics on the dementions of that box?

    thanks for the most basic of knowledge i was sure that 600W  run into 2 speakers would give 300W each.  but i just couldnt find any one to plainly say it without going off on some tangent.       now the beathing  i have had a set up in a honda civic that hit so hard that it was muffeled untill i opened a window.    i have also had another suburban that sounded great untill i roled the window down.

i switched them around for every combination there is this sounded the best

civic---phoenix gold  275   --   75W  2 channels

      bridged to a earthquake magma   12"  in a sealed box

burbon----fosgate 100W   by 2 channels

    briged to a fosgate 10" ported box

my box is 1.05cu Ft (on the inside of each chamber of course.) they are 4ohm DVC. so 4 per coil. I have them wired to a total load of 4 ohms impedence, NOT one. this way the amp doesnt have to work as hard and get as hot. and since the XeLoad technology puts out 600RMS regardless of wiring, 4 would be best. Tests showd that at one ohm it may have put out like 650, while one ohm put out 620 or so, but htats not worth the wiring at 1 ohm in my opinion. Get anything, SVC or DVC, and wire them at 2 or 4 ohms. and you should be pleased with the combo.

I'd probably suggest getting the SVC model and wiring them for a 2 ohm load. That way, if that amp were to crap out or for whatever reason, you wanted to change, you wouldn't be stuck with 4 or 1 ohm wiring.
As for the "breathing", when you have all the doors closed & windows rolled up, it creates greater sound pressure levels inside the vehicle, because the subs are moving lots of air each time they hit. So rolling down your window lets the air move freely in and out of the vehicle. And in the case of the suburban, there's a lot more air to move inside of a suburban, a lot further for the sound to travel, and a lot more things in the way of the sound waves.
