The amp/equalizer I installed in my vehicle makes a fast pulsing noise when I turn it on without the car started.(not the cdplayer) It's a Pyramid, and yes, I know that it's a piece of doodie, but it still shouldn't do this. I'm not a sound aficionado but I just want a little more customizing ability of the JVC head that I have.

motorboating is usually indicative of a shorted output or an open ground in the audio stage.....
