I have a ppi art series a600 amp. I'm looking to put 1 12" sub in the hatch of my eclipse. I need something that won't take up to much space. I want something with good sq and spl. I used to have 2 jl audio 12 wo's in a power wedge box and loved it. My last set up were 2 12" eclipse bottom line subs. I did not have enough power pushing them. I was using my a404 ppi bridged, and did not like them. I'm trying get something like the wo's, but with 1 12" with out spending more then $300 if possible.

You liked the W0, did you think about trying a w3v2, you might just like that guy and it will be in your price range and is gonna deliver in both catagories for you

The only problem is the amp that I have. I need something to match up with it.

The art series 600 watt.

Im not trying to sound like a p***k here, but if you get a sub that cant handle the power, than just trim the gain back to a safe level. There is nothing saying that you gotta use all the power that the amp can produce.

Get the plain white Infinity sub and hire an artist to airbrush a picture on it.   posted_image  That would match the art series!

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I was thinking about maybe getting eather 1 12" jl audio w6, eclipse 8122 or maybe image dynamics IDQ 12". What do you guys think would be better for what I want.

Eclipse builds some nasty arse subwoofers.....the aluminum cone SW8122 is one of my favorites. Give it a 1.25 cu.ft. sealed box and away you go.posted_image

I'm looking for something that will sound good with old bass music. something with good low bass.

The 12w6 is a good sub and so is forbidden's SW8122.  I personally prefer the 12w6 so I would vote for that.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

For the actual sound difference between the JL and the eclipse, it would be tough to say that one is "better" than the other. Both are a very good decision. I would say buy whichever one you can find at a cheaper price. If your looking for an opinion, then I would take the Eclipse.
