Has anyone done this before. Just looking for some tips to get the center dash off. I'm installing a hands free kit.

hi,

the lower center console woodgrain part pulls straight up.  the woodgrain dash pulls straight back.  both panels held on with metal clips.  both pieces removed as a single piece but they are definitely separate.  pryed (panel tool)the dash piece first and then worked both sections off as a unit.  hope this helps.

have you figured out how to overide the nav/dvd functions while driving??

It should not be too hard as it goes out when in put out of park

the 07 bose in the escalade is a new deck with 5.1 surround,

I am hoping I can add aftermarket amps to this and keep a factory head unit any

leads on this as well

Yep it is tranny specific.

Removed an un derhood trans contol fuse (marked #14 I believe under the hood)

DVD then worked in drive & out of park.........but I only had sixth gear & could not downshift!!

I'll get the dash apart soon enough & try to trace any wire that shows a change when out of park.

Could be in the class II bus though, if so difficult at best

Ween, are you referring to a new 07 escalade or pre -07??  Is it as easy as my 03 was?? (Just pry carefully)

I want to get a diagram from dealer of expoded view of 07 dash before I dive in.
