I have an 01 325i BMW, i got everything wired up the way it's supposed to be w/ the metra harness, but i'm still not getting sound. Factory radio works, but the alpine cva-1006 doesn't power up the amp, i've checked and re-checked my connections.  I've heard some people talk about the low and high feed signal, was wondering if that is a problem on the 01 Harmon Kardon radio. Don't have a meter so i can't check for voltage.

Has anyone else had a problem w/ their stock amp not coming on w/ an aftermarket hu? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also heard i might have to add a Soundgate XR4, if that's the case how hard is it to bypass the amp? Don't really want to spend another 100 bucks. TIA

On the factory harness there is a thin white lead, this is the factory amp turn on lead. It needs to be hooked up to the blue/white on your after market head unit.
