My headunit has not been working correctly. About a month ago, I just got to the mall, and I turned ignition off and noticed my headunit flashing and turning on and off. Well when I turned the ignition on, it came on but the settings were erased and the volume controll on the headunit would not work. When I used my control, I could adjust the volume. So I turned the key off again and same results, so i had to take out the headunit to disconnect the power so it would not run my battery down.
After a few days of the same result, one day it dicided it was going to work. I had my unit plugged in and the volume control was working. When I turned off the key there was no flashing. When I turned the key back on, the settings were still there and working like normal. Well the next day, I turn the key on and the headunit doesnt work at all. I unplug it and plug it back in and theres nothing. Well after it was unplugged for an hour, it worked but the volume control wasnt and it flashed after key was turned off.
I just need to know if the problem is with the headunit or something in the wiring. I have a JVC KD-AR300 CD Reciever, I have had it for 2 years know, it has been great to me till now.

Have you tried resetting the stereo?
