Hey guys, I have two mtx 801d amps and two mtx 9500 dual 4 ohm subs. I would like to get as much bass as possible. I know that I should probably get different amps but I am stuck with these for now. I thought of wiring each amp individually to each sub in parallel giving me a 2 ohm load, making sure that I connect on the first channel the positive and bridging over to the second channel to connect the negative ( by following the diagram on the 12 volt woofing wire diagram ) please correct me if I am wrong!!. Other than that I do not know if any other major possible way of connecting the subs and amps to maximize my bass. Any ideas are very much welcomed!!

You are right except for the fact that you are referring to these amps as "two channel". With the nomenclature "d" in the name, the implication is that these amps are class D mono amps...one channel. Wiring the coils in parallel will yield a 2 ohm result. Make sure the power output of each amplifier, at a 2 ohm load, is close to the continuous power handling of each woofer.

DO NOT WIRE THOSE AMPS THAT WAY. Sorry for the caps but you had to see that. If you talk to MTX they will tell you that that class of thunder amps should not be conencted in a Bridged fashion as it can cause them to fail. I dont know the reason for this but I know they do. Just wire the subs into a two ohm load and hook up to one set of terminals only. The amp connects internally and you will still get full power output. This is comming from experience with these amps.

Yes, those mtx 801d are mono amps and they have 2 terminals but they are not 2 channel amp, (that is what confusing people)they have 2 terminal for making it easy to connect 2 subs on it, imagine you want to connect 2 subs and you have 1 terminal it will be more dificult to connect compare if you have 2 terminals, right? wired your subs coils in paralell so it be 2 ohm and connect it to your amps as the image below. the amp it self connect internally(like Ravendarat said) at 2 ohm and give you 800 wrms  ------------- Shaking The Neighborhood

Hey Stevdart, Ravendarat, and Aruman Thanks for all your help and knowledge into my delima. I appreciate the time you guys took to answer my question. I am going to wire up my MONO class D amplifier to the sub the way you guys recomended. One on of the provided channels on the amp and they way the parallel wiring dirgram stated.
