I have a Pyle Blue Wave (PLBW154).  I need to know the required air space and box type for this sub.

Whatever air apace is in your trash can should be about right.  posted_image

Sorry, couldn't pass up a chance to take a cheap shot.  Pyle is simply not a very good brand, it's not a slam on you.  What does the owner's manual recomend?

I've been out the game for a while but, It's not for me but for a customer.  He wants a system but doesn't want to spend alot of money. The owners manual is missing. If I remember correctly I think that it requires 5.1cuft.  WOW that's huge.  Could that be right?  That's a pretty big box for one sub isn't it.

that was kinda lame dyohn, you usually have more self control than that. There goes your mustard campaign, hehe. But they dont have any manual from pyle's sight, so I would try emailing them. They have non-pressed pulp cones on the bottom side and the top side is smooth, so must be poly, kinda small voice coils but they sure do look good.

If I had a blue car they would be on my list of cheap subs to get.

i don't think that those Pyle Blue Wave (PLBW154) require that much of airspace. i think they riquire more between 2 to 3.5 cuft.

sprawl85, that response looked pretty controlled to me.  We are talking about Pyle here...

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

According to those specs, your sub will do good in a big sealed box. The 5 ft^3 box mentioned above would be good [assuming there's lots of available room... If not then just make a sealed box as big as possible].
