I’ve decided to ditch my 2 Kicker 10L7’s in favor for Image Dynamics. I need better SQ, I need accurate bass drum kicks that punch me in my chest. I used to have an IDQ10 (svc) and loved it, but it was only 200w. I have more power and a larger ride now. I have a JL10W0 in my jeep and it’s good, but not great. Infinity was considered, but I have not used them before, so I’m not sure what to expect.
I have two boxes, each is .80cuft.Should I get (2) IDQ10’s or (1) IDMAX10, for one box only….? I rank the following for my rock/metal 1) SQ, 2) SPL, 3) low end extension. The price should be roughly the same for either of my options.
Mono amp: Soundstream Picasso; 600w @4ohms, 800w @2ohms, 1000w @1ohm.
Whaddoyall think??

05 4Runner, some mods....
I'd go with the dual setup if you have the room and power. The idmax is a great woofer as are the idq's but with that much extra cone area with the idq's, you will be much happier.

Between one great sub and two good ones, the dual setup always puts the biggest smile on my face.
If you are looking for Infinity woofers, the Kappa Perfect line is absolutely superlative, inexpensive (as these things go), and certainly more than a good match to that Soundstream amp. See if you don't like the look of the
Perfect 10.. before grabbing up those IDQ's..
