I purchased a Stinger SP800 battery (with Pac200 isolator etc etc) and have come across a hurdle. The battery came with battery posts (round nuts) that have threads in them on the top. The pack came with 2 springs as well. First I went to home depot to get a bolt that would fit the thread in this post. Upon failure, I ordered a "battery post". A bolt looking device. Now I see that this bolt's thread is too small for the post but fits perfectly in the spring that came with the battery. I am not sure if this spring is to be fit in the post and if yes, how does one do it? Do I need a tool? Do I press the spring into the threads? It does not seem to screw-in.

If the spring is not to be used, I am not able to find a place online that specifies the size of the thread for the nuts that come with the Stinger SP800. Even stinger's site does not specify.

Any help is appreciated.
