hi

i have 2 MA Audio MA100XE 10 " subs rated 300 Watts RMS

if i wire them in combination series & parallel 2 a mono amp how much power do i require from the amp?? is the total power req jus added up (300W+300W=600W RMS) or is there some other calculation??

thanks 4 ur help

:D

You have it right but you must also account for how the subs will present their load to the amplifier.  You can safely use any amp up to 600 watts RMS into the total impedance of the subs.  What is their impedance and how are they wired?

theyre 4 ohm DVC and wired in combination series parallel

theyre wired like the 2 4 ohm DVC diagram in the site suggests

If they are wired in a series / parallel circuit, the net load is 4 ohms and a 2 channel amp would be best used. Make that a large 2 channel amp rated somewhere around 150w rms x 2 that bridges to about 600w rms x 1 into 4 ohms. If yuo have the subs wired in a all parallel circuit, then a mono amp that makes 600w rms x 1 at 1 ohm is what you should be after.
