hi all

any help appreciated

just installed a panasonic cq-rdp383n in my car and when i switch it on the display reads muting 0.

whichever button i press will not work

there is no sound and nothing at all happens

the player is a good one tested and working 15 mins before installed into my new car

as far as i know i have the correct wiring adaptors which are car to iso and iso to panasonic

i have heard if i cut the orange illumination wire this may cure the problem

anyone heard of this before will this work

thanks again

If you tested it before you installed it, and it had sound before, I'd think you can just hit the mute button on the remote.  No, the illumination wire has absolutely nothing to do with this.
