Hey all,

just when I thought I was all finished with this install, I am having subwoofer issues. The sub will play for the first few mins (30secs to 2 mins or so) and then turn off. The amp power light stays on, no low ohm light or protection light is on (JL audio 500/1) but the sub doesn't play (Boston G5 12)

Power to ground test shows 13.9 Volts, same with remote wire to ground.

the grounding point is good, tested at .1 ohms resistance from it to battery negative.

I'm losing my mind here, there was no problem with it prior to yesterday when I finalized the mounting of the amp rack (didn't disconnect any wiring) now...issues.

any help is greatly appreciated

Ryan

When ever a problem develops, always look at what was done last as a possible cause.  Check to make sure you didn't pinch or damage any RCA cables or speaker leads.  Check for speaker wire strands hanging free.  Make sure you have not restricted airflow over the amp (or mounted it upside down or something) that might cause it to overheat.  Make sure that moving the amp around did not bump up the gain or something.  In other words, look at what you just changed and see if it might be the cause.
