The Eclipse speakers are pretty good, comparable to Infinity, Polk.  They have a three way set that rock,  it's a 6 1/2" with a 2" midrange and 3/4" tweeter, and come with a nice mounting plate, although they're pretty stiff on price!  Check their web site www.eclipse-web.com

Your ears are goign to be the best judge, i could tell you they sound great.. but until you go to a Circuit City and listen to the ones you may want to buy you'll never know.

their H.U's are great and some of their older subs are phenomenal too but until you go listen you'll not know the definitive answer

1: I can't tell if you're joking. (But you've never done that posted_image)
2: If not joking, "Worst pile of garbage" seems extreme. I mean, what about Xplod? Bose?

I am not a fan in any way, shape, or form, of multi way single hole speaker systems, but I do think the Eclipse co- or tri- axial systems are OK. Expensive, but are they worth it? For only a few dollars more, you could step into the component sets, for a FAR better "bang for the buck" ratio.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I really like my Eclipse 2-way components.  They sound every bit as good as my Seas Lotus set, and FAR superior to a CDT set that was in my wife's car (and now sold.)

I also am skeptical of Eclipse speakers/subs. I know for a fact thier HUs are awesome. they have alot of imaging technology put into them.

Call me old fashioned, but I always felt good imaging was a result of less technology...

the proper thing to do Mario is to actually listen to them.....  or else buy a pair that you can listen to....   speakers are such a subjective thing that even if ten people whose opinion you trust tell you they are great... you may get them installed and find that you dont like how they sound....

personally i would never consider buying a pair of speakers that i didnt listen to with the same music i intended to listen to on a daily basis... this may negate buying online, but at least you'll know what you are getting.....and dont get wrapped up in brand names (the whole smoke and mirrors part of this industry)... audition whichever speakers you are interested in and buy the pair that sounds best to you......

The speakers and subs from Eclipse in my opinion have been far above average for years. I find little to nothing wrong with them at all. Save for my distributor will not warranty a blown sub when their competition will. Thus as much as I like my Eclipse subs, all of my subwoofer business is now going to a company that will warranty my customer blown subs.
