our dealer is taking forever to get a g35 kit in. does any one know where i can get it direct from japan?

To my knowledge, there is no kit available, so whatever you do must be custom.  Take some measurements and see if you could make a deck fit behind the fold down cover in the dash (just an example).  If your not comfortable with fabrication, etc. find someone locally that is.

We've done one, there is no kit but the Japnanese version of the car comes with standard din radio (go figure, the US models get screwed up dash)  The parts are from the car dealer themsevles. Need deck brzel, new heater controls, deck cage all special order from japan.  Our customer got his through car club in texas, they had all parts in stock about $500 Can for it.

Look for a place called Yoshis Garage.  I think Grubbs Infiniti also sells them.  The dash kit is out of the Nissan Skyline, the sister car of the G35 in Japan.  Its not cheap, but its totally OEM.
