i was wondering how to figure out what size of cap to use. I have 2 1200 watt amps and three high amps, all 2x125.

Get the biggest and most expensive one they have.  It's only money.

im sure its 1 farad per 1000 watts, so you should belooking at around 3farad to be safe

Use the search tool, but just incase you don't you do realise in no way will i help dimming lights or shortage of power, infact it will make it worse. All quallity amps alreaedy have them built in.

I wish I had a dollar for every cap that gets sold, then tossed away. Just say no to caps.
