My new Rockford Fosgate P5002 is in permenant thermal mode... after the second week of playing it, it went into thermal and never goes off thermal... is it toast or what? I have no warranty so if it is im 350 down the drain.

Bought it on eBay, huh? Why don't you have a warranty on it? A new amp will ALWAYS have a warranty, unless purchased through unauthorized channels.

Have you checked your wiring? Is your ground and power solidly connected?

Does it do the same thing when disconnected from the sub? What load are you connecting to it?

Is your alternator up to the task? Are you having other electrical issues in the car?

How about your battery? Are the posts in good shape? Everything tight?

Tell what you HAVE checked, what those results were, so we can help... "It doesn't work" is a REALLY broad statement, and we can't teleport to your trunk to troubleshoot it for you... posted_image

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
