I bought a Sony MD Player last year and installed it in a car I only use for 6mths of the year, I set all the FM radio presets and it worked fine. This year I got the car out of the garage and turned the radio on and it picks up MW,LW and FM Radio2 & 3 fine but none of the other stations are there. All it will find on Seek are R2&3.

I thought it might be the aerial so changed that but no change, all I get is as if theres no radio station on that frequency.

Has anyone got any ideas I can't think of anything else other than the unit is 'fried'.

Thanks

Try plugging the arial directly to the back of the deck .... bypassing the antenna wire from the back of the deck to the antenna on the car. Sometimes there's corrosion that sets in and makes a bad connection at the antenna

Thanks for the advice but I've had a go at that and even brightened up the connections to hopefully improve reception, so I'm really stumped now! Thankyou for your advice though
