I ordered an MB Quart RWE 304 to hook my 421 to. They sent the 302 instead. If I run this amp at 1 ohm will it fry the amp, sub, or both?  The enclosure is .84 cu. ft. sealed and the box says the sub will handle 500 watts ( doesn't specify rms or max). Thanks for your help.

that mtx amp is NOT 1 ohm stalbe so why run it at 1 ohm? at 2 ohm you will get more than 420 watt rms because mtx amps are underrated, and if that sub MB Quart RWE 302 is 500 watt RMS or MAX, that amp at 2ohm will be more than enough.

Yeah I know the manual says it isn't 1ohm stable. I was just wondering if anyone had done it successfully. I can't run it at 2 ohms because the sub they sent me is dual 2 ohm instead of the dual 4 ohm that I ordered. I guess I'll just return the sub and get the correct one. Thanks.

Just installed a 421 last weekend. The birth sheet said it was underrated by 69watts, so that would make it just under 500watts @2ohm and 14.4v.

Do not run that amp at 1ohm. Return the sub like you said and get the correct one.
