I was given a pair of older kicker c15 in good condition and i  have a ford focus 4dr sedan.  My plan was to getting a pair of 12" pioneer or mtx 4000 but these came out of the blue.  By looking at the specs of the kickers, it seems like the enclosure needs to be pretty big and i'm tight for space, so I was thing about installing only one.

Which amp would you guys recommend for the one kicker??  Also if I were to install both which amp would you recommend??   Do you think that one kicker 15 would give me the same results as the 2 pioneer or mtx??

I listen to everything from rock to hip hop and r&b to trance and techno.

I'm new to this area, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ahhhh the good ol Comp 15 i used to have 2 of those and wow very good subs.  If your cramped for space build or buy a box that matches the minimum space required for the subs then stuff the boxes with polly fill(about 50 percent full) that will "fool" the sub into thinking its in a larger box. As For the amp i would go with a Rockford Power 750s or the Kicker KX800.2 or KX500.2. But for 1 sub go with a mono block amp.... MTX, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Audiobahn, and Alpine are some good choices.

O yeah go with a sealed box for best sound quality and accurate bass. Since you listen to a wide range of music, sealed just sounds best for you.

Sealed would be your best choice as mentioned above and for your application. As far as sound quality with the kickers vs the pioneers or the mtx it all depends on their true rms output and the amp that you are connecting to it to push them.

You know you have the right amount of pressure when your eyes start to water! Now you've got Juice!
