I have a 80watt x 4 Profile HA1040 amp and a set of polk 5 1/4 component speakers I am going to put in my truck. I was thinking about also adding a 10 inch sub to the system. Is it possible to use 2 of the amps channels to run the 5 1/4 speakers and bridge the remaining 2 channels for the sub?

Thanks

Yes it is a common installation method.  Be sure your subwoofer is at least 4-ohms impedance for bridging that amp.   Channels 1-2 have a high-pass filter and 3-4 have a low-pass filter on your amp, which means 1-2 are designed for your mains and 3-4 are designed for a subwoofer.  Be sure to activate both filters and set them to the same frequency (probably about 100-120Hz for your 5-1/4" mains.)
