I seem to be having a problem and I hoped that someone could help with.
Today, myself and a friend hooked up my new Jensen In-dash Player (MP6211). Now that its all mostly hooked up ( Wires are connected where they should be, power is going to it and it plays CDs, radio, and all that jazz) I run into the problem of Volume.
When I raise the volume over 15 on the dial my dash clusters black out and fade and then go dark and reset the deck back down. Now, my dash is completely electronic because I have a '92 Chevy Blazer.
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to why this is all happening, because I'd like to be able to turn it up and not have to worry about my stuff blacking out.
Thanks, Mike
Does the power to your head unit go out too? Is it only the dash that goes black?

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.
Yes, the power goes out for what seems like a second and then turns back on.
Did you use a wiring harness or did you cut the factory wires and become a black tape artist? Verify your wire connections color for color. Run a new ground wire next.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
I think you have grounded the deck to the illumination wire. Try disconecting the stereo ground wire and hooking it up to a new location, if you have a mulit meter you can simply test the wire you are hooking up to for ground as well. Did you use an adapter harness to put in this deck or did you cut off the factory plug in the vehicle
