Sound off, y'all!

The get-together this weekend is in Talladega beginning tomorrow night. We'll be camping/partying through Sunday evening. If you spot the12volt.com window decals, stop by for cocktails ;)

After June 1st a get-together in central Cali sounds great.  Not gonna drive to Alabama though, Volt.  Although did you say "window stickers"?  Hmm, and those are available how?  posted_image

No way, are you kidding?  Beer is an evil elixir imposed upon the world by Sony and Phillips as a trick to make us think their car audio systems sound good!  That's why Sony subs are five-sided: after a few beers they look round!!!

What, the Canadians don't get an invite? And we have all of the cute girls up here... fine, we'll just keep them to ourselves! Jeff should be flying out to the land of ocean and mountain glaciers at the end of this week. It should be a nice change for him as compared to being able to see your dog run away for 3 days. Manitoba is pretty flat from what I understand. I just can't imagine things around me without big monster mountains and snow. Wish I could make it down south, sadly though, business comes first. Anyone else wanting to take a working holiday, join Jeff and I as we tackle this project here (and perhaps another one).

Central coast of California. Fly into San Luis Obispo. My college student work force has summer break from June 15 until Sept 15. Everyone chime in with the best part of that time frame for you to make it. Weather is usually in the nineties but the pool and suffient fluid replenishment should do the trick. I could bunk about 6 or 7 and we have a new Hampton Inn close by. Hamfist will bring the tequila and we could go wine tasting.

Hey, Obviously Im not as huge an audiophile or enthusiest compared to alot of the other guys here, but if you have enough of those decals, I would be interested, Or if you dont maybe you should make some more and charge a couple bucks for them, or give them with donations or something. That would kick ass. posted_image Also your little the12volt logo is pretty sweet font and such, It would look good at the bottom of any window.

Central valley members, PM me for ride, if close to Bakersfield! If Dan and Dave need a ride with me, I still have room for one! If you guys don't, let me know, then I'll have room for three!

Sounds interesting.  I would be interested in going, but seeing as how I am only 16 I dunno if it would be much fun to me since I can't drink!  legally anyways. . . posted_image . . . posted_image . . . haha  But it would be a nice drive for me since I am in Los Angeles (Pasadena) and it would be the 101 all the way right along the coast.  But still sounds fun as because thanks to all of you guys, I have learned a whole lot..  I never would have touched anything besides an amp, speakers, and HU if I didn't read up about all I have read on here.  Now I can do alarms and am attempting FG.  Anyways we will see what happens I might head out to chill.  How much is a room?

Well, Bako is inland about 2 hours of SLO. You could come here no problem, it'd be about an hour and a half shorter trip than going straight there. End up here in Bako, sometime Friday, and we could go over together, either Ffriday nite or saturday morning.

Rob, how's chances?

All 12volters are welcome... Come on up! San Luis Obispo is the city... hotels.com or wherever can get you a room... I think Bob's place is full up already.

Most of us are pretty law-abiding, so underage drinking won't be allowed, but you are certainly welcome to join in the party... food aplenty, and stories to tell!

So far, I know there's me, Bob, and Dan... Dyohn can't make it. Anybody else? Rob? mustangfoo? volt? C'mon... three? Oh, sure it'll STILL be fun, but three?!?!

Well, I will not suggest waiting 5 years for mustangfoo to hit 21, hehehe. but I would suggest a slight postponing, so we can get more people to make it, I am up here by San Francisco, CA in Oakland.  I would love to make it down there, but if waiting another 2 weeks or more to have this big bad bash means we would be able to see more heads show up, I am all for it.

I hope there are tall people there, I do not want to be the only giant, with people looking at me saying "how the hell does he get under the dash for installs"posted_image

I hate to be the "curve crazied maniac" but man, would this meet be so much better, if there were going to be opposite gendered specimens around in addition to the food, drinks, and fun.

So...what can be done about it? I'd say we make some lovely ladies, learn how to do stereo installs and fiberglassing, get them on the forum, see how cool this community of 12volt is, and then get interested in the party. :)

Hell, I may even be able to convince so locals up here in the SF Bay to come down with me, but then again, the first proposed idea may be easier.

I think a bunch of stereo geeks drinking, eating and swapping war stories would be a better description, but if you like "Sausage Party"............................................

No, on the forums we are all single guys and should all visit the peeler bars on a regular basis to have "team meetings" to discuss important topics. This of course should also coincide with amateur night and the free booze the ladies are given.

Yeah maybe next time if I find out about the thread more than a day in advance I will be able to save up some time and money, would love to meet a few of you guys (and forbidden, Im quite interested in this place you refer to as a peeler bar, haha).  Sounds like a good time to meet, hopefully we can get something together.

and to jeffchilcott, are you sure you will be attending the Texas Heatwave?  I have been a few years in a row now, and really briefly worked for custom sounds (they are the ones that put this fine little show on).  Would be great to meet up with you there and check out the car.  Hit me up with a PM and let me know.

Are these peeler bars you speak of just strip clubs? I hate strip clubs, such an udder waste of money imo.

I fair much better at regular bars.posted_image

BTW the next meet should be held in the Bay Area, where I reign. It is such a more centrally located place.

I think in British Columbia a "peeler bar" is one where they serve potatoes.

Nope, that is in Idaho. BC is known for a highly illegal narcotic (the green leafy substance) that is made into brownies, smoked or otherwise used to "get high". It was epitomized in such classic films with our favorite stoners, Cheech and Chong. It is stupid how much of this stuff is grown here, you truly have no idea.

I'll pass on the banana hammocks as well, shiver.

Bob and I were talking about this thing, and we decided that, maybe instead of all making a special trip to SoCal, we just postpone things thing 'till January '07, and we all plan on one night to get together at CES07 - Probably on Friday. I for one am planning on going this year, and it'll probably make for a better turn out for pretty much everybody. How's that sound as an alternative plan for everybody?

6 months away, and a convenient place, where many people will be showing up, anyway...
