Ok here is my delema, i have been going back an fourth with what amp to get and right now i have heard so many things about each amp that i dont kno what to belive, i was just wondering if somone can help me out a little between these amps by telling me witch would prbley be the best amp. the amps that i am looking at are

JL Audio 1000/ - which i kno is a good amp and that is my first choice, but i have been told that even thought they are rated at 1.5-4 ohm loads i was told that if the amp sees andthing less than a 2 ohm load is goes to protect

JBL  BPx1100.1 - probley that second choice but i dont kno much about JBL amps as far as quality and loudness

MTX 81001- i kno nothing about this amp but recently i was told that this amp alpine amps also can take a load of 1-4 ohms with no problem and put out the same amount of power, but i dont see that anywere on either of their websites or even heard that, but i was wondering if it is a decent amp

Memphis amps around 1000-1500 i have heard that these amps are insane with power but i have never heard one or talked to anyone that has owned one

kicker kx or sx amps- i dont kno to much about them either

hifonics amps with around 1000-1500

please if someone could clear some of this stuff up for me it would help me a great deal becuse i dont kno what amp i should get but i am looking for the best one that i can get.

Personally I have seen the JL, Memphis, Kicker, MA Audio and Hifonics amps all do very sufficient work. Personally I for sure wouldn't go with anything like the MTX or the JBL. I just think that thier names are dying out and really just don't have the quality anymore. I'm a little bisaed because I truley think that my Kicker KX800.2 is a great amp. Never really have had any problems with it. I have seen some systems really pound with those Memphis amps to but I don't believe that the Memphis Amps produce great SQ if you ask me. JL would probably be at the top of my list because I have never seen a problem with any of these amps and they always have sounded great.

My choice order would be;

1. JL;  2. Kicker;  3. Memphis;  4. Hifonics;  5. MA Audio

This is just through my personal experience with dealing with amps. I'm not a store owner or anything so its not like I deal with thousands of amps but for the setups I've seen thats my order...

What kind of sub/subs are you looking to power?

i have the Mtx 81001 and it is a very good amp, Mtx amps are way underated, mine it's rated 1500 wrms at 1 ohm, but on the birthsheet it say's that it can put 1958wrms at 1ohm and at 2 ohm it can put 1493wrms.

My bet as well would side with the MTX amp, then a tie between the Memphis and JBL, next up JL Audio, then skip about 6 spots to the Kicker and finally a long and distant, far far far far far far far distant last place would be a tie between the Hifonics and MA Audio.

I would have to put Hifonics ahead of MA Audio.  I agree the MTX is probably the best of this group.
