What do you guys think of a 2 alpine type r's (2ohms) set up in a ported box?

What amp? Mono or Standard? Watts?

Its going in my honda with a pioneer deh-p680mp..

See woofer wiring over to your left for a series/parallel circuit to yield a 2 ohm load.  These are DVC 2 ohm drivers, right?  What model?  SWR1222D?

Look for a mono amp that'll do ~1,000 RMS @ 2 ohms (assuming you have the newer, 500 watt RMS/each Type R's) from a good reputable brand.
Also, make sure you build a proper box for it - it'll make all the difference in the world.
