I am in the process to get an amp but i was offered a 5 ch amp, I have been doing research but i dont see too many things about 5 ch amps and if they work.
The equilizer i got is:
Kenwood KGC-6042A
and the head unit: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X890
This will be installed in a Opel Astra G, 2004
I am planning to install 2 set of :

Judging by the power requirements a 5 channel would be suitable. Consider that some 5 channels are quite large though. The 2 I would recomend (do to personal experience) are the concept cca -664 or one made by memphis i forgot the model number. Both worked well. the concept gives 60x4 and 200x1. roughly 11"x17". its at this

I agree with Jeremy. For your application, a 5 channel amp would work great. The Concept amp is a great little amplifier, if you can find a Eclipse PA5532, it would be a good step up from the Concept.

i concur that a 5 channel amp would be the most efficient solution... i have used a few Directed D2205's lately in this situation with success....
my only fear ( bad memories of Soundstream 5 channels grenading on me) is that if you overdrive and blow the sub output stage you lose the whole system.... whereas with a dedicated sub amp and satellite amp you dont have the same potential problem.....
