i have a factory ford winstar stereo (cd/cassette). i recently took it out of my van and now my dad wants me to put it in his dodge caravan. so what i want to know is, can this be done and if so do they sell wire harness for the stereo because i will need one because i didnt cut the harness in my van.

They do sell a harness check here for the one you'll need it will be a 71- number. Remeber you'll need to wire it to harness to plug into the caracan also..good luck......

Yes there is a harness but it may not be that simple. For example, you are going to have to invent a way to mount it, then make it look respectable at the same time. Next issue is the Windstar may have had a amplified system, this means that the deck may not have a built in amplifier. So even if it does fit, it may not work.

Rob is right on the money, I was going to expand my answer but it seemed like I had every high school kid for 30 miles around in the store at once. It is not going to be an easy task. If you need tape and cd configuration in dash there are aftermarket options. Thats they way I would go, you'll have a lot of time into doing something like this.
