I have 2 amps that are going to be mounted next to each other. Can I run 1 thick power wire from the battery back to where the amps are and then split the wire from there? Or do I really have to run 2 seperate power wires directly from the battery back to each amp seperately?
The amps are a RF Punch 160.4 for the front and rear speakers, and a JBL GTQ400 for the subs.
Thanks.

Run larger gauge wire back and use a distribution block to split the power to the amps. What are the rms outputs of your amps?

Run atleast a 4 gauge power wire to a distribution block.
Also a ground distribution block will make things simpler.

A distro block takes the place of splitting a large wire into two smaller wires and installing fuse holders in each of the smaller wires. It's much simpler and way neater. You can find a wide variety of fused distribution blocks.
