i just bought a ma audio hk401sx amp and it has 3 40 amp fuses on the side of it and i also have a 100 amp circuit breaker in between them and here is the problem, i have gone threw about 30 fuses trying to hook it up becuse when i coplete the circuit with the curcuit breaker all 3 of the fuses pop on the amp and it does this every time, i have looked to see if i have a exsposed wire and i dont so i dont kno what to do and does anyone kno what the problem here is? or what it could be?

Sounds like you either have a short in your power leads (which you say you do not) or in your speakers or a blown amp. Disconnect the speakers and if it does the same thing, the amp is probably toast. Take it back for warranty repair. ------------- Support the12volt.com

30 fuses? I would have stopped long before that. I agree, the amp is bad.

yea i gave up on it and its being sent back to ma audio right now so well see what happends with the new one

sounds like a bad MA alright.....Start by disconnecting all the speaker wires and rca's and remote. turn the gains all the way down, the frequency set all the way up to the highest range.
hook up your ground wire that should be equal to or larger then your power wire in guage. then hook up the power wire.
If the fuse blows at this point the amp is bad, the coil has melted and it is touching where it shouldnt, or the mosfets have shorted and are grounding to the board.
if you made it past here then hook up your remote and attempt to power. if it blows fuses now, check your wires again...I know it sucks but run your wires across the carpet just for testing.
if you make it past there, hook up the rcas and mess witht he volume....if it makes it past there hook up the speakers.
if it blows once the speakers are hooked up but made it all the way to them you could have a bad tinsle lead on the subs or a bad voice coil or other problems but it probably lies in the subs, but still could be a sign of bad outputs on the amp.
Write back and let us know where you get to following these steps, I know a few repair places who do a good job and keep pricing less then $100 if it comes down to it.
