We have tried to hook a Orion 600d up in 2 monte carlo's. One is a 1995 and the other is an 1999. In both vehicles the output is extremely weak. We have bought it to an audio shop and they couldn't find nothing wrong. But when we put it in my cutlass supreme, it works perfectly. The shop checked everything. We really need some help!

  • What were you using as a source unit in all 3 vehicles ?
  • Did you ground in different spots on the Monte Carlo's ?
  • What gauge wire did you use for all 3 vehicles ? Power & ground

Sounds like the wiring and HU were set properly in the Olds but both Monte Carlo's were not set up properly.

Are the alternators by chance replaced? At idle? Just curious because my Monte has a wizy output level(electrically) when idle. Doesn't affect my audio at all though. *shrug* Good luck, I just recommend a pack of C4 and a good clearance from you when it goes off. :)
