Okay, I have been out of the stereo loop for quite a while now and now that I have a better job I am trying to get back into it. I am thinking of picking up a pair of MTX Thunder T7512-44 12" Subwoofers which have 2- 4ohm voice coils.  I am wanting to run them off of a pc21400 which i believe i can either run it at 1 or 2 ohm which will put out the most power for them.  I have an idea on how the subs need to be wired but I would like to hear from others on how to do it just so I know that I am doing it right.  If anyone can help me with it I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks

It'd be helpful if you could give us the specs on that amp...

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Thanks for those diagrams.  I think the second one is the one that I will have to use if I am going with the 21400 because the specs are this

350 WRMS x 2 @ 4 ohm per channel

700 WRMS x 2 @ 2 ohm per channle

1400 WRMS x 1 @ 4ohm bridged

So I think the 4 ohm load diagram is the one I will have to go with to get the most power out of that amp  Thanks

That's right. Wire them for 4 ohms.
