ok i have a 1999 jeep cherokke it had a infinity premium sounds system in it i took that out and installed a pioneer head unit with 2 type rs and a amp also changed the speakers no i wanted to amp it now let me tell u it already has a stock amp im guessing so i un plugged the speakers coming from the deck to the amp then the speakers coming out of this amp i rewired so they would come out of the new amp i also ran new power and 2 sets of rcas one fro from and one for back i ran all of this on opposite sides but now my problem is that i am getting electrical noise though the speakers like you can hear when i change songs and that also when u start the car u get a whining noise though all the speakers it goes away when the car is off. i have tried changing the ground direct to the battery nothing then direct to frame same problem then i though maybe it was the stock wiring so i hooked up just a external speaker to the amp and got the same thing i also made sure the amp was good i hooked it up in a buddies car and it worked fine and i have also tried ground loop isolator and got no change and am stumped i have no more ideas could someone please help me.

My head is hurting from reading djjatczak's post. A little punctuation would be nice! I've never had a problem with Pioneer, but I see where a lot of people have. What is a good head unit that has the radio reception as good as Pioneer?

yea, that is good to know, as I was thinking about getting an Eclipse HU ne ways.  I am gonna install a stereo this weekend and the guy doesnt know what he should purchase as he only can speak and read in spanish and also has to spend around $50 on the mounting bracket since he has a 2001 Ford Taurus.  On that vehicle the stereo is completely attached to the climate controls I dunno who came up with that Dumb*** idead at Ford lol.  Hopefully I can persuade him into buying my old HU which I bought in December so it is still pretty knew and will save him some $$$.
