i was wondering if a Blaupunkt PCA1300 amp would be the right amp to push my girlfriend's JLs. They handle 150 rms each, and they are 8 ohm. I am going to wire them in paralell so the impedance drops to 4 ohms. The amp pushes 300 rms x 1 at 4 ohms. So technically, that would be 150 to each sub, and the right impedance for the amp, right?

do you already own the amp? that is part of it. i mean how good of an amp would it have to be for the amp you already own? don't worry about not having enough power for the w-1's they'll hit on anything. you might try a vented cabinet (custom built only!} for more bass. jl w1's can be blown with abuse.
