99’ F150 Bandpass enclosure

I have a 99 F150 standard cab pickup that I want to build a dual 10 inch speaker bandpass box for. Does anyone have any specs for this? Or is it impossible to do?

Why would you want to build a bandpass box? If you want to great, but why?

sealed... IMO you may wanna look at MTX and QLogic...and see how they have built the boxes and almost mimic that.

bandpass is a one note wonder...you'll get one note thats awesome

Bandpass does what it sounds like, it restricts the range of frequencies played yet at the same time boosts the frequencies that are passed. It is also a hella quick way to blow up a sub. You need to decide if you are after a good sounding system, a good sounding and loud system, or something that just is plain annoying. This will determine the box type, subs and amplifier for your system.

I'm looking for that vision distorting, heart feels like it's jumping out of your chest kind of sound. I know I won't get that in my truck (with 10s), but I want as close to it as possible. It's been a long time since I had any kinda good system in my vehicle (about 13 years)...Long story. It seems like everything has changed since then. The last system I had was 2 12s in a ported box. I switched them over to a bandpass and the difference was amazing. I couldn't blow those speakers no matter how hard I tried. That is why I asked about a bandpass box

ok then go to your local camper place and buy some gasket. build a box for2 3 4 or whatever speakers paint it with rino liner and vent it into the cab. you might need a bed cover and don't forget to recess the surface of the cab about 4 inches.

That sounds like more than I want to get into, besides, I want it to still be a truck. The system I am running in it now hits pretty good (better than I thought for what I paid for it). I have 2 MSX 10s for small enclosures, The boxes are roughly 6x12x14 each. I have it on a Logic 2402 800 watt amp with a scosche capacitor and headed up by an Alpine CDA9825. I know these are cheap components (except the Alpine), It is my starter system and I am getting the feel for things again before I drop alot of dough into an expensive system. Trying to get some ideas on what is good and what is not

 at my shop guys come in all the time asking about big bass in thier 4 door trucks. when i talk to them i usualy find that thier last vehichel was an expedition or suburban or bottom line something that had room for big bass. i tell them if you want cheap lower your expectations. gotta customer bye
