Hey,

I've had an eclipse 5423 for a while and loved it, however, for some reason the trim ring has worn pretty badly and I'd like to get a new one. Does anyone know how/where I can buy only that part? I know pac parts does a lot of that but I didn't find eclipse parts on their website. Thanks.

-Phil

Phil, this part is only available from Eclipse or a Eclipse retailer. I know that I probably have a dozen or more around at any time. Look to the local shops first, if they do not have one for you, send me you full address and I will mail one to you. Make a donation to the site that is equal to the shipping and we'll call it square.

What a generous offer. I found the part for 15 bucks here, is that reasonable or not? Seems expensive for a little piece of plastic, costs more than the dash kit the HU is in. If you think shipping would be cheaper then I might go with that. I live in Fort Worth, TX. zip 76116. Thanks.

Yes that is way too expensive. I give mine away (or trade for a coke etc.) Depends on if it is a hot chicky or not. Shipping to you would be more expensive as I am in Canada. If a half sack of beer is cheaper, head on up to the ol back door and see what happens.
