dose this model look correct im tryin to install a deck directly to a batter
dose the turn on wire need to run all the way to the battery?
Few things the turn on or ACC wire should be the red one and the constant 12V should be your ground (most of the time with an aftermarket deck anyways) this will work if you are trying to keep the radio on constantly but if you want it to turn off with the ignition then the red wire or ACC needs to go to a switched ACC wire, or a wire that is 12V when the key is in the ACC position. Also, 10 guage wire will work but you can go smaller if you wish most decks only require 10-15 amps and that can be supplied with a 16 guage primary wire if you wish, fused of course. and, lastly if you run the wires to two seperate places make sure they are both fused correctly. hope this helps.

Sounds like you may have an Alpine cd player. You have 3 main wires to think about here, do not confuse them.
Yellow wire - +12v constant direct to battery, fused within 18" of battery.
Red - +12v ignition, this turns the deck on when your car is on.
Black - ground.
The other wires that you may be confusing yourself with (or maybe just me).
Blue - +12v power antenna output wire to turn on a power antenna when you listen to the radio.
Blue / White - +12v remote on to turn on an outboard amplifier or eq etc. This has nothing to do with turning on a cd player or going to a battery at all.

dose this solve my problem i ran both wires to the battery (fused them both) put a switch in the 12v ignition & then grounded it
oops i meant the constant 12V should be yellow not ground. Anyways, yeah that second diagram is better, what are you using this for? is it going in a vehicle? If so there should be a switched wire behind the radio already same with the constant 12V some more info and we can be a little more helpful I think.
