I have a Pioneer AVH-57000 H/U,I plan on running

Two Rockford Foshgate  2000 watt (1000rms) 12 in stage two dual 4ohm subs and running a Mono amp,I would want to use this amp,Rockford Fosgate Power T20001bd 1-Ohm Mono Stable (2000 watts at 1 ohm!),I plan on wiring them into a 1 OHM final load,

I just want to know if my stock alternator in a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer will supply efficient power for this,I also plan on upgrading to this battery Stinger Power2 dB SP1700,and using a two farard capicator

I plan on just using 2 way speakers all the way around *FOR NOW*

pfft, thats alooot of rockford RMS watts to expect from a stock alternator... If you use it hard, which Is probably why you want 1 ohm, and not the nice 500RMS at 4 ohms, I would say you need an upgrade. Especially since you plan on upgrading the other speakers (and amp) later.

Are you talking about this one? Rockford Fosgate Power T10001bd

Maybe a two channel amp sounds more like a good setup.

Can you reccomend a nice amp for me to run these two subs?

I already have one sub from my other car, maybe the best thing will be is to buy a good amp and just run one sub in a nice box?

You have one rockford T2, and want another? Either way thats going to get loud, take a bunch of space, and draw tons of power, and sound good.

I think yougot the idea for the amps, and I like that your being loyal to Rockford, all i really have to say is expect to kill an alternator if you dont upgrade it and listen to it LOUD. the capacitor wont do a damn thing.

Yea i was in a car accident when i had that one sub in my focus, but the car got totaled and i bought a Mountaineer, and im looking into putting toghterer another system, maybe this time I will do it nice and neat, and have better sound quality then making it louder.

Can anyone reccomend a nice amp for me to push that one sub?

I think a T10001 will push that sub with plenty of power from what i remember when I talked to my local shop back when i had HX2s and wanted some T1s, and T2s are basically the same.

yeah that pushes 750RMS at 2 ohms, That sub would MOVE.

Nice, thanks alot. This system sound sound real good. Should i upgrade the battery as well or no?

Is 4 gauge wire going to be good enough to run as power and grounds?or should i go 0 or 2?

They suggest 1/0 Guage. As for battery and alternator for that specific setup I dont know. It should draw about 75 amps, Which is a good amount for a stock alternator, seeing how it probably puts out 120 at its max. Hopefully someone else can help you out with that. Because I dont know, You may be fine.

the rule of thumb we use around the shop is to take the TOTAL RMS wattage of the entire system and devide it by 12....(i think thats it) and it comes out to the entire amount of ampage your alternator needs to be to power just your system. now you also need about another 30-40 to run the vehicle...so do the math and see what it comes to being. that should give you a round about idea on what size alternator you need

I added up 200 for the HU,and 1000 for the sub

The stock alternator is 130 amps.

That will be that i have exaclty 30 amps left to run the car,so then eventually i will have to upgrade it I guess
