I am having problems with troubleshooting my newly installed Phoenix Gold Octane -R5.0:1 amp, it seems to not be pushing my 2 10" Bostons G1 subs. I am currently running a Alpine dvd in dash player, Boston seperates powered by a Rockford 4004 amp, 2 10" Boston G1 subs powered by Phoenix Gold Octane -R5.0:1 amp. wiring seems to be correct, i have checked it 3x already, only thing i could think off that may be the problem is a bad ground. could that be the problem? or maybe it could be a faulty amp? i refuse to believe that Phoenix Gold amps are that crappy, Lol. Btw my vehilcle is a 04 chevy silverado extended cab. can someone help me plz.

Well...  Did you check the power and ground attachments?  If that's all right, then make sure you set everything on your amp correctly.  Is your gain set right?  What are the specs for those subs and amp?

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

You need to tell us more. Are you getting any sound out of the subs? I'd start looking harder at your install and where your wires are connected. Are there possibly settings on the headunit for the sub preout's that you need to change? Is amp's power light coming on?
