i got an 01 altima and i was tryin 2 tweek it, so i'm gettin the max outta these subs. i got a 1 farad cap already wit o guage wire, amd i'm buildin me a box supposedly hittin around 33mhz, also i got dynamat. any ideas?????

I dont understand the question here. Are you asking what to use next, what to buy next, what to set your deck at? I just dont get it.

33milihertz?     are you using tweeters?

If you are trying to optamize SPL use for show use, then you need to tune approx 5-7hz lower then your resonant frequency of your vehicle.

most trunk car tend to like 55-57 hz on a meter.

if you tune to 45-50 hz that would do good for SPL use, but not for street use, it would damage your equipment with normal music.


typical street SPL boxes I build are tuned to about 36 hz with a very very long port.

other things to do, alternator upgrade, battery upgrade to a gel cell deep cycle, after those ditch the cap, not going to do any good

find someone or a shop with a meter and test test test

If you want to get high SPL numbers you have to tune your box higher like in the 40/ 50 Hz, 33hz are more for daily use(SQ)imo. And do what Jeff said.
