Hey guys I need some help with my audio system.  I have (2) 2ch fosgate amps and (1) 4ch Alpine amp that I'm planning to install on my audio system. I also know that a turn on lead wire connected to the HU is needed in order to avoid the amp always being on.

I also know that a relay is a good idea when more than (2) amps are used.  My question is....

How should the 3 amps be connected on the relay(87,86,30,etc.) and do i need a small fuse after the relay? which connection from the relay should go directly to the HU?

ok you are gonna wanna connect the relay like so. . . . .

85 remote turn on lead FROM HU

86 Ground

30 FUSED constant, or you could even be better off with ACC power since its for your amps. MAKE SURE you fuse it though.

87 New output for remote turn on leads, connect this to your amps.

87 is the output for the turn on leads from the amps.  Do I connect all three wires from amps to this single wire and then connect it to the 87 input? Crimping splicing?

You can jump the turn on wire from amp to amp. Run one wire from the relay to the first amp, then from that amp to the next, then the next. You will not be drawing any huge amount of current at all. As far as the suggestion to wire it to constant, not the best bet unless you want your amps to never turn off. Always wire to a source controlled by the ignition cylinder, be it ACC or IGN.
