Does anybody know if there is a way, of finding out if a car has a stock amp. The car I'm trying to figure this out on is a, 1999 camaro. I'm note sure of the trim package, I know it has a six speaker setup. The reason I need to know is before I started working on it someone already installed a headunit, and two of the speakers don't work. When you look behind the head unit there is a harness with about 6-10 wires. If anyone can give me some enlightenment on the matter, it whould be greatly appriciated.

Read the sticky labelled "how to figure out stereo wiring". If that car has an amp it is in the quarter panel.
