mk i have 2 15 inch kicker l7's model number s15l7's and a 1500 watt d class hifonics brutus to power them will this be enough power? also how should i wire them?

I agree. The main thing is make sure you have them in the right enclosure. Thats the key when it comes to a subs performance.

the kid who had them before me had them wired positive to neg. pos. to neg on each woffer. would this cause bad sound?

No, his amp must not have been 1 ohm stable.

he was running it off this amp and the subs sounded like they were distorting so i took htem out of the box and noticed how they were wired

either his amp wasnt 1 ohm stable or he had no idea how to wire 2 dvc's

Yes, it is 1 ohm stable. I have the 2200D on 2 Fosgate 4 ohm DVC's and it stays cool. I've had no problems at all with mine.

1500 watts @ 1 ohm, even though it will probably do around 1100 REAL power. Hifonics does rate their amps to do more than they actually will, but for the price they are still a value IMO.

yeah i was thinking about gettin a 1 ohm stable Hifonics amp. Maybe the Hifonics Brutus BXi1206D. Any feedback on this amp? thanks

I love mine. I've heard the same from just about everybody; they don't do the power they claim, but they run cool, are reliable, and for what you pay they are worth it. See if you can find a store that sells them and listen to one. The one you are talking about will probably do around 900 RMS.
